Information We Collect
Counsel to Secure Justice collects personal information in the following ways:
Website and Application Use: We collect information about how visitors use our websites and applications. This may include the log data from your visit to our website; analytics data about your usage patterns and the performance of our website; and technical information about your browsers and device configuration.
Donations: If you donate to Counsel to Secure Justice, we collect the data required to process your donation with our payment processor(s).
Volunteer Participation and Employment: If you seek employment with Counsel to Secure Justice or volunteer for Counsel to Secure Justice, we will collect information related to your role. For instance, we will collect employment history information if you submit a resume. You may provide this information directly (through an online recruitment portal, careers site or via correspondence), or it may be provided via an agency.
Engagement with Campaigns: We keep a record of your engagement with our online campaigns. If you engage with our campaigns we will keep a record of these interactions.
Inquiries: When you submit an inquiry, query, or complaint, we will collect the Personal Information you provide in order to assist you and follow up with you in the future.
Subscriptions: When you subscribe on www.csjindia.org using the Stay Informed button, we collect the data needed to send you news and information related to your interests.
Third Party Services
Counsel to Secure Justice uses the WordPress platform to organize our community of members, supporters and prospects. When you visit www.csjindia.org, we may send one or more cookies – a small text file containing a string of alphanumeric characters – to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser and lets us help you log in faster and enhance your navigation through www.csjindia.org.
A cookie does not collect personal information about you. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive after you close your browser. Following termination or deactivation of your Counsel to Secure Justice account, Counsel to Secure Justice may retain your profile information and user content for a reasonable time for archival purposes. Furthermore, Counsel to Secure Justice may retain and continue to use indefinitely all information (including user content) contained in your communications to other users or posted to public or semi-public areas of www.csjindia.org after termination or deactivation of your account.
Counsel to Secure Justice reserves the right, but has no obligation, to monitor the user content you post on www.csjindia.org. We reserve the right to remove any such information or material for any reason or no reason, including without limitation if in our sole opinion such information or material violates, or may violate, any applicable law or to protect or defend our rights or property or those of any third party. Counsel to Secure Justice also reserves the right to remove information upon the request of any third party.
How We Share Your Information
Any personal information or content that you voluntarily disclose for posting to www.csjindia.org, such as user content, becomes available to the public, as controlled by any applicable privacy or website customization settings. If you remove information that you posted to www.csjindia.org, copies may remain viewable in cached and archived pages, or if other users have copied or saved that information.
How We Protect Your Information
Counsel to Secure Justice cares about the integrity and security of your personal information. We cannot, however, ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to Counsel to Secure Justice or guarantee that your information on the service may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. Your privacy settings may also be affected by changes to the functionality of third-party providers, such as social networks. Counsel to Secure Justice is not responsible for the functionality or security measures of any third party.

You may, of course, decline to submit personally identifiable information through www.csjindia.org, in which case Counsel to Secure Justice may not be able to provide certain services to you. For that reason, Counsel to Secure Justice does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register for www.csjindia.org accounts.
