The Impact of a Collaborative Approach to Rehabilitating Child Survivors of Sexual Harm in Delhi: Effective Practices from the Field 

This document highlights effective practices in rehabilitating child survivors of sexual abuse in Delhi, with a focus on the impact of a collaborative approach. Based on the experiences of Counsel to Secure Justice of working with over 500 children who have been sexually harmed, we believe that collaboration between stakeholders is critical to ensuring positive outcomes for these vulnerable children.

Ready Reckoner on Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. 2012 for Investigating Officers of Odisha  

The main legislations that deal with cases of child sexual abuse are the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act 2012 and Rules, and Indian Penal Code, 1860. Article 15 of the Indian Constitution read with Article 39, India’s ratification of ‘The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Bonds of Hope: Connecting to children in the observation homes of Rajasthan 

A report outlining the restorative practices through circle processes in selected observation homes in identified districts including Jaipur, Alwar, Ajmer, Jhunjhunu and Sikar. This project was developed as a collaboration between Department for Child Rights (“DCR”), Government of Rajasthan, UNICEF Rajasthan, and Counsel to Secure Justice (“CSJ”)

Perspectives of Justice: Restorative Justice and Child Sexual Abuse in India

A report released by Counsel to Secure Justice and the Centre for Criminology and Victimology at National Law University Delhi in March 2018 that explores using restorative justice processes and restorative practices in child sexual abuse cases in India.

Protecting Our Children: A look at Delhi’s implementation of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012

A report released in September 2016 by Counsel to Secure Justice and HAQ: Centre for Child Right that analyses 72 child sexual abuse cases CSJ and HAQ lawyers and social workers handled in Delhi trial courts and how POCSO was implemented in those cases.

Rights of Children in the Time of COVID-19

A policy brief containing general as well as sector specific recommendations for Government action. It is the product of collaborative efforts of several organisations, academicians, practitioners, and experts working in the area of child rights.
