Role:
You will lead the state-level project on strengthening the capacity of child protection stakeholders in Chhattisgarh. You will closely coordinate with UNICEF, the Department of Women and Child Development, and the Police Headquarters in Chhattisgarh.Job Responsibilities
- Conceptualising the best possible delivery of capacity-building intervention under the project
- Coordinating with UNICEF consultant to draft training calendar, agendas, and other requirements, in line with the program document and deliverables
- Ensuring development and administration of pre-test and post-test for training
- Ensuring smooth delivery of training sessions, both online and in-person
- Ensuring the drafting of materials and presentations to be delivered during training
- Ensuring administration and documentation of feedback forms after every training
- Coordinating with resource persons for timing, availability, scope of training, and ensuring timely disbursal of remuneration according to CSJ finance guidelines
- Coordinating with UNICEF and department representatives for regular handholding and monitoring calls
- Ensuring documentation of each training and handholding call
- Ensuring timely delivery of quarterly implementation reports to UNICEF
- Providing logistical support for the smooth functioning of the project, including Zoom/Webex (for online trainings), coordination for stay and travel for Resource Persons (for in-person trainings)
- Preparation of all contracts, TORs, and work orders required for the program deliverables
- Coordinating with the UNICEF Consultants and Vendors to ensure timely and effective delivery of the products
- Keeping track of the fund utilisation per the budget components
- Keeping track of the bills, communications, and payments made for the project alongside the Finance Manager
- Conducting a training needs assessment to identify the capacity-building needs of the child protection sector in Chhattisgarh
Requirements
Essential- 2-5 years experience of working in the child protection sector and a strong understanding of child rights and laws in India
- Degree in law/social work/psychology or other relevant fields
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Good understanding of human rights, child protection issues, juvenile justice, and diversion; sufficient field experience in similar settings to design and implement innovative, appropriate solutions.
- Experience/knowledge of child protection and prior work with UN organisations or government systems is preferred.
- Understanding of quantitative and qualitative methods of monitoring and evaluation
- Ability to prepare draft reports against expected results
- Ability to analyze information, evaluate options and to think and plan strategically.
- Demonstrable commitment to human rights, especially in working with very vulnerable populations.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi
- Detail-oriented and efficient
